Competition rules:
String instruments: violin, viola, cello, double bass (solo);

Participants are required to bring their own piano accompaniment. Participants without piano accompaniment will not be included in the score;

It is advisable to choose a varied repertoire with “fast” and “slow” movements.
Or: a justified sentence/a slow sentence piece;
The competition repertoire must contain at least one piece with piano accompaniment. -
It is permitted to reduce the piano accompaniment of the intro interlude and the final section.

Contributions must contain the following:
– A piece from the Baroque period;
– A piece from classical music;

Evaluation:

Scoring is based on the contestants’ actual performance on stage. The evaluation criteria are based on the following points: integrity of performance, intonation, timbre, performing skills, musical performance, music processing and coordination with accompaniment;

The performances are evaluated based on the points. Judging takes place at each competition level according to the professional categories and age groups participating;

The results of all competition levels in China will be announced on the official website of the German Competition Committee;

Participants will receive handwritten signature certificates from the international judges.
Price settings:
Amateur Group:
- First Prize:
1 winner per category and group, with a certificate signed by international professional judges.
- Second Prize:
2 winners per category and group, with a certificate signed by international professional judges.
- Third Prize:
3 winners per category and group, with a certificate signed by international professional judges.
- Excellence Award:
Several winners, with a certificate signed by international professional judges.
Professional Group:
- First Place (one winner):
–A certificate signed by international professional judges.
-Invitation to the Internationale Musikakademie Ludwigslust 2025
-Full scholarship for the masterclass, worth 5,000 RMB.
-Masterclass auditor pass. (For scholarship distribution details, see below “Scholarship Distribution Rules”).
- Second Place (one winner):
–A certificate signed by international professional judges.
-Invitation to the Internationale Musikakademie Ludwigslust 2025
-Full scholarship for the masterclass, worth 3,000 RMB.
-Masterclass auditor pass. (For scholarship distribution details, see below “Scholarship Distribution Rules”).
- Third Place (one winner):
–A certificate signed by international professional judges.
-Invitation to the Internationale Musikakademie Ludwigslust 2025
-Full scholarship for the masterclass, worth 1,500 RMB.
-Masterclass auditor pass. (For scholarship distribution details, see below “Scholarship Distribution Rules”).
- Excellence Award (multiple winners):
–A certificate signed by international professional judges.
Awards and Scholarship Distribution Rules:
Scholarship Rules for the Professional Group:
- Only the top three winners in the professional group are eligible for a scholarship.
- The scholarship can only be used for the 2025 International Music Festival Masterclass in Ludwigslust, Germany.
–If a winner chooses not to attend, the scholarship will be forfeited. - The final interpretation of the scholarship distribution belongs to the Internationale Musikakademie Ludwigslust
Scholarship Rules for the Amateur Group:
- Amateur participants who wish to apply for a scholarship must submit an application to the competition committee and wait for a decision.
- The final interpretation of the scholarship distribution belongs to the International Masterclass Ludwigslust.
